Dorset Macmillan Citizens Advice Bureau
Dorset Macmillan Citizens Advice Bureau can help with financial queries/difficulties. They can also offer advice on and help obtain financial grants to people who are struggling due to their diagnosis.
Call their helpline on 01305 595971 or 0845 490 0042 between 10.00 and 15.00 Monday - Friday and they have an answerphone outside of these hours.
Email macmillan.dorchester@centralca.org.uk and a member of the team will get back to you. If you prefer your Macmillan keyworker or Specialist Nurse can make a referral to the team for you.

Stepping Out is a constituted Community Group based in Bridport, West Dorset.

An informal and kind place where participants would feel relaxed and at peace.
The Living Tree
We are a self-help support group for people who have experienced cancer and for their families/carers.
Our group is based in Bridport and is open to anybody affected by cancer from West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset. We are all at different stages of cancer or caring for someone with cancer.
All our activities are free of charge.
The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation
The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation’s (DCCF) primary aim is to provide financial assistance to Dorset residents and their families who are experiencing financial hardship due to cancer. The DCCF also occasionally offers cancer-related financial support to local support groups, organisations, hospitals, and hospices.
